टाइम्स स्क्वेयर: 15000 लोग जमा, योग से थमी रफ़्तार

दुनिया के सबसे व्यस्त चौराहों में से एक न्यूयॉर्क का टाइम्स स्क्वेयर शुक्रवार को थम सा गया, क्योंकि यहां सैकड़ों लोग योगाभ्यास कर रहे थे.

मैनहैटन चौराहे पर लगे विशाल बिलबोर्ड्स के नीचे लोग अपनी-अपनी दरियां बिछाकर योगासन कर रहे थे.

कार्यक्रम के सह-आयोजक टिम टॉमकिन्स ने कहा कि इसका एक उद्देश्य साल के सबसे लंबे दिन थोड़ी शांति और सुकून के कुछ पल निकालना है.

स्थानीय समय के अनुसार निशुल्क योग कक्षाएं सुबह 7.30 बजे शुरू हुईं और सूर्यास्त तक चलीं.

गूगल के गुब्बारे गाँवों तक पहुंचाएंगे इंटरनेट

इंटरनेट जायंट गूगल ने दुर्गम इलाकों को इंटरनेट से जोड़ने के लिए एक नई तकनीक ईजाद की है. इसके तहत गूगल ने आकाश में ऐसे प्रायोगिक गुब्बारे छोड़े हैं जो अपने आसपास के इलाकों में इंटरनेट सेवाएँ उपलब्ध कराएंगे.

कंपनी ने न्यूज़ीलैंड में 30 अत्यधिक दबाव वाले गुब्बारे छोडे़ हैं, जहाँ से वो दुनिया भर में एक नियंत्रित रास्ते पर उड़ते हुए जाएंगे.

इन गुब्बारों में लगे उपकरण रेंज में आनेवाले इलाके के बड़े हिस्से में '3जी' जैसी स्पीड वाली इंटरनेट सेवाएं मुहैय्या कराएंगे.

शुरुआत में यह सेवा थोड़ी अबाध नहीं मिल पाएगी.

लेकिन कंपनी को उम्मीद है कि समय के साथ वह पर्याप्त बेड़ा तैयार कर लेगी ताकि दुर्गम इलाकों में रह रहे लोगों को भरोसेमंद सेवाएं उपलब्ध कराई जा सकेगी.

गूगल ने इस परियोजना को 'प्रोजेक्ट लून' का नाम दिया है और उसने माना है कि अभी यह 'अत्यधिक प्रयोगात्मक' स्तर पर है.

प्रत्येक गुब्बारे का व्यास 15 मीटर है और इसमें उड़ने वाली गैस भरी हुई है.

गुब्बारे के नीचे कुछ इलेक्ट्रानिक उपकरण लटके हैं, जिसमें रेडियो एंटीना, एक फ्लाइट कम्प्यूटर, एक ऊँचाई नियंत्रक प्रणाली और ऊर्जा के लिए एक सोलर पैनल शामिल हैं.

गूगल ने बताया कि प्रत्येक गुब्बारा हवा में 100 दिन तक रहेगा और पश्चिम से पूर्व की ओर उड़ते हुए अपने आसपास 40 किलोमीटर के दायरे में इंटरनेट कनेक्टविटी उपलब्ध कराएगा.

सबके लिए इंटरनेट

कंपनी ने बताया कि इस परियोजना के जरिए दुनिया की दो-तिहाई आबादी को जोड़ा जाएगा, जिनके पास वाजिव कीमत पर इंटरनेट उपलब्ध नहीं है.

कंपनी ने न्यूजीलैंड में परीक्षण के लिए कुछ घरों पर विशेष एंटीने भी लगाएं गए हैं.

इस योजना पर काम कर रहे विभाग गूगल (एक्स) के मुख्य तकनीकी आर्किटेक्ट रिचर्ड डेवाल ने बताया, "लून के पीछे विचार यह है कि दुनिया को उस चीज के जरिए जोड़ना आसान होगा, जो सभी के पास समान तरीके से उपलब्ध है, यानी आकाश."

उन्मुक्त रूप से उड़ने वाले गुब्बारों के साथ एक दिक्कत यह है कि वो सही जगह पर हैं, यह कैसे सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा.

डेवाल बताते हैं, "हम यह नहीं चाहते हैं कि वो हवा से साथ बहते जाएं. हम चाहते हैं कि वो वहाँ जाएं जहाँ जमीन पर इंटरनेट की ज़रूरत है."

इसलिए उन्हें गूगल के 'मिशन कंट्रोल' के जरिए नियंत्रित किया जाएगा.

जब इन गुब्बारों की उम्र खत्म होने वाली होगी, साफ्टवेयर की मदद से उन्हें उतार लिया जाएगा ताकि स्थानीय कर्मचारी किट वापस ले लें.

Although Fukrey is a young comedy based in Delhi, its music is rather eclectic and awesome, including the latest song from the movie proves that.

The song Ambarsariya has been derived from a well known Punjabi folk song and has been arranged by Ram Sampath. The lyrics have been adapted from Punjabi by Munna Dhiman. Sung by Sona Mohapatra, the song is refreshingly simple and melodious, and perfectly captures the many moods that one goes through while falling in love.

The video too is quite sweet, where a high school boy played by Pulkit Samrat falls for the pretty Priya Anand while on his way to school. Their love blossoms in the little by lanes of Old Delhi, as Pulkit tries every juvenile trick in the book to win over Priya. Google Glass (styled "GLΛSS") is a Wearable Computer with a head-mounted display (HMD) that is being developed by Google in the Project Glass research and development project, with the mission of producing a mass-market ubiquitous computer. Google Glass displays information in a Smartphone-like hands-free format, that can interact with the Internet via natural language voice commands. While the frames do not currently have lenses fitted to them, Google is considering partnerships with sunglass retailers such as Ray-Ban or Warby Parker, and may also open retail stores to allow customers to try on the device. The Explorer Edition cannot be used by people who wear prescription glasses, but Google has confirmed that Glass will eventually work with frames and lenses that match the wearer's prescription; the glasses will be modular and therefore possibly attachable to normal prescription glasses.

Glass is being developed by Google x, which has worked on other futuristic technologies such as Driverless cars. The project was announced on Google+ by Project Glass lead Babak Parviz, an electrical engineer who has also worked on putting displays into contact lenses; Steve Lee, a product manager and "geolocation specialist"; and Sebastian Thrun, who developed Udacity as well as worked on the self-driving car project. Google has patented the design of Project Glass. Thad Starner, an augmented reality expert, is a technical lead/manager on the project.
